Who can be an Early Reader?

I’m looking for readers who love my books and are excited to help get the word out to other readers about If You Follow Your Heart. If that sounds like you, I’d love to have you join me.

What does the Early Reader do?

Your mission, should you choose to take it , is to spread excitement about my stories!Early Reader team members help by sharing reviews on Amazon, Goodreads, BookBub, or your other favorite sites. Reviews don’t have to be long essays — just a few lines about what you enjoyed.

If you can, you’re also welcome to spread the word through social media or word of mouth. You can share a post before launch and again on launch day — I’ll provide ready-made memes, or you can make your own.

How does it work?

As an Early Reader team member, you’ll receive a free advance copy of If You Follow Your Heart from BookFunnel in e-book format. I ask that you read the book before the release date.

 If you like the book spread the word! (If you don’t like the book you don’t need to do a thing.) The most important job for a team member is to write an honest review on Amazon, Goodreads, or another site where you like to post. Reviews don’t need to be long — just a few lines about what you enjoyed. Some sites allow early reviews, but Amazon doesn’t until release day. You can always write your review now and copy and paste it later.

Optional: Help find typos

I’ll also send you a link to a Google Docs form where you can note any typos or errors you spot. This is completely optional but really helpful!

As a thank-you for helping me find mistakes, everyone who submits a typo note will be entered in a drawing for a $20 Amazon gift card.Please send all typo notes by October 29, so I have time to make corrections.

Ways to spread the word

Beyond posting your review, anything else you do is a special gift — and I’m so grateful!Here are a few ideas:

• Talk about the book on Facebook or any other social place you like to hang out.
• Blog about it
• Share it with your reading or book groups.
• Add it to your Goodreads shelf
• Pin the cover or other pictures from my website to Pinterest.
• Tell your friends about the book, especially if they love horses.
• Take a photo of yourself with the book on your e-reader in your favorite horse setting (as a kid mine was in the backyard or at the beach) and post on Instagram or another social media site. Use a hash tag with the book title and #AmReading
• Blog about it if you are a blogger or mention it in your newsletter, if you have one.
• Share your favorite quotes from the book on social mediaThe above are just suggestions. I am grateful for anything you do to help me share If You Follow Your Heart.
